The kids were so excited for me to put this post on our blog...and I must say so...I was too! ;) So with that being said... this is just one of many "Fun Friday Nights" in
The Stiern House...or rather outside, out
in the back five! This is how the story goes...about a week ago we were doing some late "spring cleaning" in the shop, when I stepped out and went up to the porch to feed Mati her dinner. Next thing I knew, as I am almost done feeding her, Anthony comes from around the shop in the go-cart! Now mind you, that thing hasn't ran in about 3 years. It has been serving a
great purpose, of being a rack for hanging stuff on, for a while now. Gabriel was running behind Ant with a
huge smile on his face...yelling to me..."Dad fixed the go-cart...Dad fixed the go-cart!" I am still not sure what the heck had been wrong with the
darn thing for so long, but I was told by the boys, that Dad work his
magic and straighten out the bent up sprocket, fixed the broken chain, changed out the fuel and to top it off...I was told that it started on the first pull! The boys were so excited and Tod was too...you know all these toys that he comes home with and claims are for the kids...are sooo for him too! :) We sat out at the back of our property and watched the boys go "up...down and all around!" It's times like this, which seem to happen often, that we thank ourselves over and over again, that we made the decision to move to the country and raise our kids in a "little country town". We feel so
grateful and
blessed to have had the opportunity to move here 6 years ago...and have not yet regretted it! Well...O.K...maybe a little, when we are making our third trip to town for soccer, after the first two trips (drop off and then pick-up) for Gabe's preschool. The regret only lasts for a
quick second (it's only 15 mins to town) and then we say to each other "Nahh", we couldn't imagine being back in town! So here are a few pic's from our "Fun Friday Night" out
in the Stiern back five! We hope you enjoy the pic's of our "country munchkins"! :)
LOVE the smile...it is so big, you can see it in spite of the helmet!

Gabriel had to sit all the way forward on the edge of the seat, to reach the pedals. He was bound and determined to ride the go-cart all by himself...and he did!

And there she is..."Little Miss Mati" cheering her brothers on. Like a true "country munchkin", she is in just a diaper...with dinner dried on her face! :)

Our "little show-off" racing down the side of the pond...showing
little brother how it's done...that is...racing the straight away! I just love it...the dust coming from the tires in all!
