Family Reunion Camping Trip

We went on a camping trip a few weeks ago with my mom's side of the family, for our annual family reunion...my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and all their children made it...in all about 40 of us! We had a great time and the kids LOVED it! It was very busy, so I didn't get as many pic's as I wanted :( But...I was glad my uncle had his camera in hand pretty much the whole trip, can't wait to see the pic's...thanks uncle Mickey! It was so good to see everyone and it was so AWESOME that we all made it...no one missing. Here are a few pic's that I was able to take. Love you guys...Sergeant family! It rained on us for about 30 mins one of the days...Dad and Gabriel just so happened to be floating down the river at that time, so they got a little wetter then they planned.

We went across the river from our campground and visited the old jail and the state museum...the kids thought it was very cool. We LOVE camping in Coloma...it is such a neat little town!

Dad snagged the camera from me and got a few pictures of Mati and me in the water just after it rained.

I told the kids that I wanted silly faces...and this is what they came up with! Love the poses and faces...and then there's our sweet Gabriel, who just smiled!:)

Classy, Sassy and Fun

She has it All...this "Little Miss" is so AWESOME and is such a JOY! I had the opportunity to take our nieces' pictures, for her birthday, this week. I had such a good time with her...and she LOVED it too! Here is the "sneak peek" of some of her pic's that I ended up posting on my photography blog. She is growing up so fast and looking at these pictures really shows the WONDERFUL young lady she is becoming. A Day At The Office!

So family and friends are always asking about what I do at work and what my job is like...my real job!:) Well, here are a few pic's of a wildland fire we had last shift. It is rare that we get an opportunity to take pic's...cause we are usually busy doing our job. But, one of my fellow firefighter partners took a few pic's with his iphone of the head of the fire working it's way up the ridge, while we were waiting for another engine to get to where we were, so we could start our hose lay. I wish I could have had my camera. I have got to start carrying it...or at least putting it in the engine. It's a little big for hauling around while fighting fire...but we had some down time in staging after the initial attack was made and there were some great pic's to have been taken of the tankers doing retardant drops, from above, on some spot fires. So here is just a small glimpse of what I am doing while at work...my real job...or at least the one that helps pay the bills! I must say that I LOVE all my jobs (Mom, Firefighter/Medic and Photographer), but being a firefighter is exciting and rewarding in different ways than the others. Hope you guys like the pic's! :)

The Garden Is Growing...

We now have everything in the ground, as of about 5 weeks ago and things are taking off! :) The kids are having sooo much fun watching everything grow! Some days we swear that certain plants have grown 2"-3" overnight. Here are a few pic's from a few weeks ago...

A small...4-legged...rodent, whom was last seen 3 weeks ago in The Stiern Family Garden. He is known to come out in the evening and early morning hours and has so far enjoyed eating (1) cantaloupe, (1) cucumber, (1) honeydew and (2) tomatoes. A large reward will be given for the capture of this suspect...DEAD or ALIVE!


All plants were successfully replaced and are doing great! :)
