So family and friends are always asking about what I do at work and what my job is like...my real job!:) Well, here are a few pic's of a wildland fire we had last shift. It is rare that we get an opportunity to take pic's...cause we are usually busy doing our job. But, one of my fellow firefighter partners took a few pic's with his iphone of the head of the fire working it's way up the ridge, while we were waiting for another engine to get to where we were, so we could start our hose lay. I wish I could have had my camera. I have got to start carrying it...or at least putting it in the engine. It's a little big for hauling around while fighting fire...but we had some down time in staging after the initial attack was made and there were some great pic's to have been taken of the tankers doing retardant drops, from above, on some spot fires. So here is just a small glimpse of what I am doing while at work...my real job...or at least the one that helps pay the bills! I must say that I
LOVE all my jobs (Mom, Firefighter/Medic and Photographer), but being a firefighter is
exciting and
rewarding in different ways than the others. Hope you guys like the pic's! :)
